OUTCOME: The Boston Bruins took complete control of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Philadelphia Flyers with a 4-1 victory in Game 3. The Bruins now have a 3-0 series lead. Blake Wheeler, Miroslav Satan, Mark Recchi and Patrice Bergeron (empty net) each scored for Boston. Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask made 34 saves.

RECCHI RETURNS: Recchi spent the majority of his NHL career playing for the Flyers. He played a total of 10 seasons during two stints in Philly, and when he netted his power-play goal in the third period to give Boston a 3-1 lead, the fans booed the 22-year veteran. The fans continued to boo every time he touched the puck after that.

KEY INJURIES: The Bruins’ David Krejci and Adam McQuaid were both injured in the first period and did not return to the game. The extent of the injuries is not known at this point. Boston already lost forward Marco Sturm for the rest of the season in Game 1 of this series with a torn ACL and MCL. If Krejci’s injury is serious, Boston will lose one of its top playmakers. McQuaid has been the team’s No. 6 blueliner in the playoffs and he’s done a solid job.

UP NEXT: The Bruins will have a chance to close out the series in Game 4 on Friday at Wachovia Center at 7 p.m.
