Flyers' Gagne will be a game-time decision

PHILADELPHIA -- The Flyers could receive a little bit of a boost in Game 4 with the return of forward Simon Gagne.

He’s been out since April 20 after suffering a broken big toe when he blocked a shot by the Devils’ Brian Rolston in Game 4 of the first-round series against New Jersey. While Flyers coach Peter Laviolette wouldn’t confirm Gagne’s return, the player believes he’ll be able to help Philadelphia try to recover from a three-game deficit.

“It’s hard to say right now. It’s going to be a game-time decision,” said Gagne.

He did not participate in the optional morning skate and said he’ll test it during pregame warmups. Gagne practiced with the team on Thursday and had a MRI afterwards.

“I’m pretty happy with the way the healing process went,” he said.
