WILMINGTON, Mass. -- After spending the last two weeks in Fort Myers, Fla., for Red Sox spring training, the spikes are off and I have my skates back on for the remainder of the Bruins’ season.

The Bruins had Sunday off and they’re back on the practice ice this morning at Ristuccia Arena in preparation for their game against the Canadiens on Tuesday night in Montreal.

It was an epic battle the last time these teams met as the Bruins finished with an 8-6 victory on Feb. 9 at TD Garden. The teams combined for 182 minutes in penalties, including a fight between goaltenders Tim Thomas and Carey Price.

Boston is atop the Northeast Division and second in the Eastern Conference with 84 points. Montreal is second in the division and sixth in the conference with 79 points.

** After missing Saturday’s game due to personal reasons, Bruins assistant captain Patrice Bergeron is back on the ice this morning.
