WILMINGTON, Mass. -- After taking Sunday off, the Bruins returned to practice at Ristuccia Arena on Monday morning with a bit of a different alignment to their forward corps.

In an obvious attempt to get all his best offensive players grouped together, head coach Claude Julien skated Mark Recchi at center between Marco Sturm and Miroslav Satan. The Bruins' second line consisted of David Krejci between Michael Ryder and Blake Wheeler.

Vladimir Sobotka and Steve Begin both centered Recchi and Sturm to little avail in Saturday's loss to New York. Sobotka was demoted to fourth-line duty along with Trent Whitfield, Shawn Thornton and Daniel Paille. Begin centered Byron Bitz and Milan Lucic. Bitz returned to practice for the first time since missing the last two games with a back injury.
