BOSTON -- There’s been some debate over the last few days whether or not Bruins coach Claude Julien should stick with rookie Tyler Seguin, or insert veteran, and Stanley Cup winner, Shawn Thornton back into the lineup for Game 3 Monday night at TD Garden.
Julien was asked following the team’s game-day skate whether or not he was contemplating any lineup changes.
“You’re going to see 23 guys out there [pregame] and we’ll make some decisions after warmup,” he said with a smile.
Seguin had two solid games during the Eastern Conference finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning when he collected three goals and three assists in Games 1 and 2. Since that point, the explosiveness he showed has been missing a bit and now that the Bruins trail the Canucks 2-0 in the final, and with the series in Boston, Thornton could find himself back in the lineup.
Thornton was asked after the team’s game-day skate Monday morning at Garden if he was playing, and he indicated that he has not been told one way or another.
