Bruins president Cam Neely was on Boston sports radio station 98.5 The Sports Hub this afternoon and shared his thoughts on Aaron Rome's four-game suspension for his hit on Nathan Horton.
* Happy with the suspension?: “Yes I am [satisfied with the suspension]. I would have been a little bit disappointed if it wasn’t for the series.”
* Thoughts on the hit itself: “It was late, for sure. He hit his head, so … those two areas there alone are worthy of a suspension. I thought it was a late hit when I saw it live, certainly watching the replays over and over confirmed that."
* On the Horton-for-West tradeoff: “Losing a guy like Nathan isn’t a good trade-off for us, but I think the league got it right.”
* Does he think the hit was with purpose?: “I don’t believe it was his intent to injure Nathan.”
