* Entering this game, neither team had scored a goal in the second period in the last two games.

* Brad Marchand's goal was his 10th of the postseason. He is just the fourth rookie to score at least 10 goals in a single postseason and the first since Jeremy Roenick scored 11 for the Blackhawks in 1990.

* Patrice Bergeron became the 10th player to score 2 goals in a Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Final. No player has scored a hat trick under those circumstances.

* The Bruins outscored Canucks 10-0 in the second period of this series.

*FROM ELIAS: The Bruins are the first team to have a three-goal lead after two periods in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final since the 1965 Canadiens led 4-0 after two periods against the Blackhawks. Montreal would win that game by the same score of 4-0
