Sudbury player gets tryout with B's

The Bruins have invited Sudbury Wolves (OHL) defenseman Charlie Dodero, 18, to training camp on a tryout, according to the Sudbury Northern Life newspaper website Northernlife.ca.

Dodero had 12 assists and 14 points in 66 games with the Wolves last season. If he doesn't make the Bruins, Dodero will return to Sudbury, where he is expected to be a top-four defenseman.

"Charlie is one of our hardest-working players both on and off the ice,” Wolves' general manager Blaine Smith said in a press release. "Charlie is a very positive person and his energy and passion for the game rubs off on other players. Charlie deserves to attend an NHL camp and we are pleased that the Bruins are giving him that opportunity."
