The Boston Bruins got some good news on Wednesday regarding David Krejci, who struggled off the practice ice on Tuesday with an unknown injury and did not travel with the team for Wednesday night's game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Coach Claude Julien said Wednesday that the Bruins center has an injury to his midsection and is considered day-to-day. It hasn't been determined whether he'll be available for Saturday's game against Chicago.
"He's day-to-day and it's an injury in the core area. So we can certainly eliminate the knee injury that's been speculated about," said Claude Julien.
"He's day-to-day and we'll see how he does to see if he joins us in Chicago or not," he added.
"It'll be [Seguin] to start off anyway ... see how he does. We knew that down the road we'd need him to step up [at center]. We know Peverley can be one of those guys too."
"Nothing should change because of David's absence as far as team play is concerned," he added.
