Bruins head coach Claude Julien didn't elaborate on David Krejci's "core" injury but did tell the media Thursday that Krejci will not be meeting up with the team in Chicago for their tilt with the Blackhawks on Saturday night.
"Doesn't look like he's going to join us in Chicago," Julien said. "Looks like it's going to be a little bit longer. Day-to-day is a few days at least until we get back and we'll be able to see where he is at that point.
As for Adam McQuaid, who fell awkwardly into the end boards during the third period of the Bruins' 3-2 loss at Carolina on Wednesday night, Julien said the defenseman will remain with the team and go to Chicago.
"Well, he's still being evaluated right now; I don't think we have any specifics as we speak," Julien told the media Friday. "We're going to keep on monitoring him and go from there."
