The Bruins will have to wait and keep working for an NHL playoff berth.

A Philadelphia Flyers victory over the New York Rangers Friday night would have clinched a spot for Boston, but the Rangers battled to a 4-3 victory. Now those two teams, who are tied at 86 points, will face a one-game showdown on Sunday in Philadelphia for the last playoff spot in the East.

The Bruins, who are tied with Montreal with 87 points, can clinch a playoff spot with a win Saturday against Carolina. The game starts at 1 p.m.
