BOSTON -- After leaving the Bruins’ 5-4 win at Toronto on Tuesday with an undisclosed injury, forward Benoit Pouliot will be in the lineup tonight against the Buffalo Sabres.

"Looks good, looks fine," Julien said of Pouliot. "He told us he's ready to go."

That's good news for the Bruins, as Pouliot (goal, two assists) and linemates Chris Kelly (goal) and Jordan Caron (three goals, two assists) have been hot over the last two games.

Julien spoke about the emergence of Caron, who has bounced up and down with Providence (AHL) and Boston.

“He looks more comfortable -- but I shouldn’t say comfortable more than I say more confident,” Julien said of Caron. “Sometimes that’s all a guy needs is to score a couple goals and feel his way through.”

Bruins wary of Sabres

The Bruins will be careful not to get too confident against a Sabres team that has climbed back into the playoff race (they trail eighth place Winnipeg by two points) and beaten the Bruins in their last two meetings.

“They might be desperate but they’re also playing great hockey, so it’s a combination of both,” Julien said. “I like the way they’ve played lately; they’ve been a really good team and they’re playing with confidence, getting great goaltending, and their power play has been a really big asset to them.”

Bruins forward Brian Rolston concurred and said he isn’t surprised that a Lindy Ruff-coached squad didn’t give up on their season when so many critics viewed them as all but done as recently as at the NHL Trade Deadline on Feb. 27.

“They’ve always worked hard under him and they’re playing that way now," said Rolston. "They’re a skilled, speedy team and a great challenge for us tonight.”
