WILMINGTON, Mass. -- The Boston Bruins held their final practice Tuesday before hosting the Washington Capitals in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series at 7:30 Wednesday night at TD Garden.

The Bruins are no strangers to this type of situation.

Boston has been on the winning side at times, but also knows how it feels to lose. This will be the team’s fifth Game 7 in its last six playoff appearances. The Bruins dropped Game 7 to the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2010 conference semifinals. In 2011, the Bruins became the first time in NHL history to win three Game 7's in one playoff year.

Overall, the Bruins are 12-10 in 22 lifetime Game 7's, while the Capitals are 2-7.

Bruins coach Claude Julien talked about the challenges of a Game 7: “There's no guarantees in Game 7's. The only thing you can hope is that your experience will help you stay composed and do the right things.”
