Merrimack's Chris Barton got the game-winning tally. Lowell goalies Doug Carr and Marc Boulanger combined for 34 saves in the loss.
In local ECAC Hockey action:
Quinnipiac 5, Harvard 4
In a see-saw affair at Quinnipiac, the Crimson (2-4-0) stormed back with three unanswered goals in the last four minutes of the second period to tie the game 4-4 only to let the Bobcats (7-4-1) slip away with the win on a third-period strike by Ben Arnt. The game-winning goal was Arnt's second of the game, ruining the Crimson's comeback bid.
