Four local players make US Junior squad

USA Hockey announced the 22-man roster for its US Junior championship squad on Wednesday morning and it includes three Boston College players and one from Boston University.

Making the cut from Boston College were: Brian Dumoulin, a 6-foot-4 defenseman from Biddeford, Maine; Patrick Wey, a 6-foot-2 defenseman from Pittsburgh; and Chris Kreider, a 6-foot-2 forward from Boxford, Mass.

Charlie Coyle, a 6-foot-2 forward from East Weymouth, Mass., was the lone Boston University player to get the nod.

Goaltenders: Jack Campbell (Windsor Spitfires); Andy Iles (Cornell).

Defensemen: Brian Dumoulin (Boston College); Justin Faulk (Minnesota-Duluth); Derek Forbort (North Dakota); Nick Leddy (Rockford IceHogs); Jon Merrill (Michigan); John Ramage (Wisconsin); Patrick Wey (Boston College).

Forwards: Nick Bjugstad (Minnesota); Ryan Bourque (Quebec Ramparts); Chris Brown (Michigan); Mitch Callahan (Kelowna Rockets); Charlie Coyle (Boston U.); Jerry D'Amigo (Toronto Marlies); Emerson Etem (Medicine Hat Tigers); Chris Kreider (Boston College); Jeremy Morin (Rockford IceHogs); Brock Nelson (North Dakota); Kyle Palmieri (Syracuse Crunch); Drew Shore (Denver); Jason Zucker (Denver).

The World Junior Hockey championship tournament begins on Sunday in Buffalo, with the U.S. team facing Finland.
