Terry Francona said after Sunday's loss to the Rangers that Josh Beckett, who has been sidelined with back issues, will pitch Friday at Seattle.
Francona said on Saturday that Clay Buchholz, who went on the DL with a hamstring problem, is scheduled to start Wednesday in Oakland.
