AP Photo/Frank Franklin IITrainer Freddie Roach hopes Manny Pacquiao will be ready to hang up his gloves soon."I'd like to see Manny fight two more fights and then quit," Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao's trainer, told reporters this afternoon. "I'd like to see this fight and then [Floyd] Mayweather, and be done with it. There's no more challenges out there. You don't have to go any further. I would like to see him go out on top and not be one of those cases where he stays around too long. I know it's an addictive sport, but what better way to go out than on top?
"The thing with Pacquiao is, he has things to fall back on that other fighters don't. He's an actor, he's a singer, he's a congressman, possibly. He has a lot of things he likes to do."
Is Pacquiao aware of Roach's battles with Parkinson's disease and the fact that it is a battle Roach must wage because he fought for too long?
"He has no idea," Roach said. "He didn't even know I have Parkinson's until a couple of years ago. We don't talk about that. We just go to work."
