Buffalo Bills beginning final week of OTAs

The Buffalo Bills will return to the practice field Monday for their final week of organized team activities.

The team will hold four OTAs this week, from Monday through Thursday. They remain voluntary for players.

Next week, the Bills host a three-day mandatory minicamp before they head away for their pre-training camp break.

With two weeks of OTAs in the books, we've been monitoring the injury status of several players. Here's an update:

QB Thad Lewis -- Lewis sat out Thursday's practice with soreness but he should return to action this week.

RB Bryce Brown (undisclosed) -- Brown practiced for two days before sitting out two days. He returned to team drills for one day last week but was sidelined again last Thursday.

RB Ronnie Wingo (hamstring) -- Wingo has been sidelined since the first week of OTAs, but his injury isn't considered serious and he continues to rehab.

WR Marcus Easley (knee) -- Easley is coming off an offseason procedure and continues to rehab during practice. He has yet to participate.

WR T.J. Graham (hip) -- Entering a critical training camp, Graham has been sidelined following an offseason procedure. He has been on the field with his teammates during OTAs, keeping track of offensive plays during team drills.

WR Cordell Roberson (undisclosed) -- Roberson, a first-year player, sat out rookie minicamp and the first week of OTAs. He returned to action last week but wasn't at full participation.

TE Scott Chandler (knee) -- Chandler sat out the first few OTAs before returning to full participation last week. He required extra stretching at one point during one practice and looks to be shaking off some rust.

TE Mike Caussin (undisclosed) -- Injured for most of his tenure in Buffalo, Caussin wasn't spotted at practice late last week. He's been on the field more than he was last summer, but he'll need to stay healthy if he wants to make the final roster.

G Chris Williams (undisclosed) -- Williams, who is slated to start at left guard, missed two practices late last week. No word on his status.

G Doug Legursky (undisclosed) -- Legursky missed Thursday's practice after participating in every OTA to that point. No word on his status, either.

G J.J. Unga (undisclosed) -- Unga watched OTAs from the sideline last week, so his injury isn't likely to be serious. He could soon return to a crowded depth chart along the offensive line.

DE Mario Williams (hip) -- Williams has participated in team drills sporadically during OTAs but has mostly been sidelined as he recovers from an offseason procedure.

DE Manny Lawson & DT Alan Branch -- Neither veteran has been spotted at voluntary OTAs and coach Doug Marrone said he hasn't heard from either player.

DE Bryan Johnson (undisclosed) -- The undrafted rookie watched the final two practices of last week from the sideline.

DT Marcell Dareus -- Dareus will remain out of OTAs this week.

LB Kiko Alonso (hip) -- Alonso's participation in team drills has been minimal as he recovers from an offseason procedure. He has, however, been on the field with his teammates for every practice.

CB Leodis McKelvin & CB Stephon Gilmore (both hip) -- The pair of starting cornerbacks haven't participated in team drills as they recover from offseason procedures.

CB Darius Robinson (arm/shoulder) -- Robinson, an undrafted rookie, left the second OTA with an injury and hasn't participated since. He returned to the sideline last week to watch practice and continue rehab work.

S Aaron Williams (shoulder) -- Williams had an offseason procedure and sat out team drills during the first week of OTAs. He was eased back into action late last week and that could continue this week.
