The Buffalo Bills got a head start on roster cuts Monday.
Dixon, a fifth-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008, spent most of last season on the practice squad. He replaced EJ Manuel at the start of fourth quarter in Saturday's preseason loss -- his only action of the preseason -- but was pulled after one drive for what coach Doug Marrone called "ball security" issues.
Wingo, who went undrafted from Arkansas last year, played in two games last season for the Bills and saw limited action this preseason.
The Bills must trim their roster to 75 players by Tuesday evening. They have 84 players under contract after releasing Dixon and Wingo.
