ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills on Tuesday re-signed defensive lineman Jay Ross.

Ross, who spent the entire preseason with the Bills, fills the roster spot that opened when defensive lineman Alex Carrington (torn quad) was placed on injured reserve Monday.

In Carrington's place, Corbin Bryant and Alan Branch are expected to see increased playing time. Ross steps in as another reserve option.

The Bills also swapped defensive linemen on the practice squad. They released undrafted rookie Izaan Cross and signed Adewale Ojomo, a Miami product who played in one game last season for the New York Giants.
