ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, the team announced.

Johnson did not practice this past week, traveling to California following a death in the family. He was a game-time decision Sunday with a lower back injury.

Meanwhile, safety Jairus Byrd and cornerback Stephon Gilmore are both active for the first time this season.

With the secondary now nearly back to full strength, cornerback Justin Rogers, who started the first five games of the season in place of Gilmore, is inactive.

Doug Legursky is active for a second straight game and will start at left guard in place of Colin Brown. The Bills are expected to rotate both players at the position Sunday.
