Mario Williams earns AFC weekly honor

October, 23, 2013
Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams was named the AFC's Defensive Player of the Week, the NFL announced Wednesday.

Williams had two sacks, including a key strip-sack late in the fourth quarter of the Bills' 23-21 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

With 10 sacks on the season, Williams has the most sacks through seven games of any player in Bills history.

This is the second time this season that Williams has earned the honor, following his 4.5 sack performance in Week 2.
