Weather conditions: After two weeks on the road in sunny Miami and New Orleans, it's back to reality for the Bills. It's cloudy and chilly here in Western New York, with game-time temperatures hovering in the mid-30s. There is no precipitation expected, however, and winds shouldn't be a factor.
Monitoring QB situation: The Bills have yet to make any official announcements about their starting quarterback for the game. Thad Lewis (ribs) is listed as doubtful, and if he can't play, the Bills are expected to start Jeff Tuel or Matt Flynn. As soon as an official announcement is made, we'll pass that along.
Six more inactives: The Bills have already declared one player -- quarterback EJ Manuel (knee) -- as out for the game. If Lewis is also out, then the Bills will need to declare an additional five more players as inactive by 11:30 a.m. One of those inactives could be wide receiver Chris Hogan, who is questionable (back). He did not practice Friday.
Spiller, Johnson expected to play: Running back C.J. Spiller (ankle) and wide receiver Stevie Johnson (hip) are both listed as probable but are expected to play.
Game-day chats: Starting at 11 a.m., ESPN.com will host a "Sunday Countdown" chat, with observations from reporters across the NFL as game time approaches. Then, once Bills-Chiefs kicks off at 1 p.m., we'll have an in-game chat where readers can contribute questions and follow along with in-game observations. Look for links to those later today.
Winter gets the call: Veteran official Ron Winter, in his 16th season as a referee, gets the call for today's game.
