ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills ownership purchased the remaining tickets for Sunday's game against the New York Jets, avoiding a blackout, the team announced Friday.

The Bills had been granted a 24-hour extension by the NFL on Thursday, as 3,500 unsold tickets remained for Sunday's game.

This is the second time that Bills owner Ralph Wilson has guaranteed the purchase of remaining tickets for a home game. In both cases, the Bills took advantage of the NFL's 24-hour extension before announcing a guaranteed sellout.
