FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd injured his ankle in the first quarter of Sunday's season finale against the New England Patriots.

The Bills announced Byrd's return as questionable. He was replaced by Da'Norris Searcy in the defensive backfield.

Byrd is set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season. He missed the first five games of this season with sore feet.
