The Buffalo Bills have granted the Cleveland Browns permission to interview defensive line coach Anthony Weaver, the Bills announced Tuesday.

Weaver, 33, followed former Bills defensive coordinator Mike Pettine from the New York Jets, where Weaver began his NFL coaching career in 2012. Weaver played defensive end for the Baltimore Ravens from 2002-05, where Pettine was his coach.

Pettine, whom the Browns hired as their head coach last week, hired three of his other Bills assistants Monday: Jim O'Neil (as defensive coordinator), Brian Fleury (as assistant linebackers coach) and Jeff Hafley (as secondary coach).

Bills coach Doug Marrone said Monday that he "did not feel good" about Weaver remaining with the Bills under new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz.
