The Buffalo Bills will host cornerback Nolan Carroll on a free-agent visit, according to Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com.

Buffalo is Carroll's first visit but he has others scheduled, per La Canfora.

Carroll, 27, was a fifth-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2010. In four seasons, he has played in 58 games, making 26 starts. His best season came in 2013, when he had three interceptions, 12 passes defensed and two sacks.

The Bills don't have an obvious need at cornerback. The top of their depth chart is virtually set, with Stephon Gilmore and Leodis McKelvin expected to retain their starting roles, while undrafted free agent Nickell Robey was a bright spot as a slot cornerback last season.

Beyond that, the Bills lack depth at cornerback. Carroll, at 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, would add size and depth to the backfield if the Bills end up signing him.
