Assistant wide receivers coach Lance Taylor has left the Carolina Panthers to coach the running backs at Stanford.
Receivers coach Ricky Proehl made it official when he tweeted, "Losing my wingman. Happy for Lance Taylor who will be coaching the RBs at Stanford. Great coach."
Taylor joined Carolina as an assistant this past season after spending three years coaching at the college level.
Proehl told ESPN.com he wasn't sure if the Panthers would replace Taylor with an assistant receivers coach or a quality control coach.
"I know we lost a great coach in Lance Taylor and he's going to do a great job at Stanford," Proehl said.
