Chandler
I'm pinch hitting for David Newton today. I just got a look at the contract extension signed by Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Nate Chandler earlier this week and wanted to share the details with you.

The three-year extension has a total value of $5.12 million and $1.87 of it is guaranteed.

Chandler's base salary is $570,000 for this year and he got an $800,000 signing bonus. His cap figure for this year is $1.37 million.

In 2015, Chandler's base salary rises to $700,000 and it increases to $1.45 million in 2016. In 2017, the base salary stays at $1.45 million.

The bottom line is the Panthers have locked up Chandler. He's a player they think may end up as their starting left tackle. If he does, Carolina got him at a bargain rate.
