LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Bears quarterback Jay Cutler downplayed a lingering hand injury that seemingly forced the Bears to scale back their passing game after the first quarter of Sunday's win over the Rams.

"It feels fine," Cutler said. "I'll be ready to go on Sunday."

Cutler was asked if the injury was a finger or a hand.

"A little bit of both," the quarterback responded.

In addition to questions about his health, Cutler was also pressed on the issue of complaining to officials, something the quarterback has done (some may argue justifiably) at times this season.

"Lovie said something during the game," Cutler said. "(He said) let me handle it. Why do you (the reporter) view it as a problem?"

The reporter then told Cutler complaining to officials can be a problem when it results in penalties and fines.

"You don't pay the fine, so I think you'll be OK," Cutler replied.
