The latest update on the pursuit of free agent safety Antrel Rolle comes courtesy of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
The paper is reporting on its Web site that the Miami Dolphins offered Rolle a five-year deal Thursday night for less than the $8 million per year Rolle is seeking, and now the defensive back is expected to visit the New York Giants Friday morning.
The Bears have been aggressively pursuing Rolle, who was released by Arizona Thursday afternoon. ESPN's Adam Schefter said that the team's talks with Rolle have been "heating up."
If Rolle chooses to sign elsewhere, the Bears may consider free safety Ryan Clark, who up to this point has been unable to reach a new deal with Pittsburgh.
