CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears rookie defensive end Corey Wootton left Tuesday's practice early because of food poisoning, but will try to play Thursday night in the preseason finale against the Cleveland Browns, according to a league source.

Wootton, a 2010 fourth-round draft choice out of Northwestern, is likely to make the final 53-man roster. Wootton, Jarron Gilbert and Henry Melton are fighting for the last spots on the defensive line, where the Bears could decide to keep eight, nine or 10 players.

Bears general manager Jerry Angelo publicly challenged Gilbert before the Bears' second preseason game against Oakland. The 2009 third-round pick didn't play against the Raiders, but he had a sack on Saturday against Arizona.
