Ex-Bear McKie re-signs with Ravens

February, 10, 2011
CHICAGO -- Former Chicago Bears fullback Jason McKie re-signed with the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday.

McKie, 30, spent the final five games of the 2010 regular season, plus the wildcard round of the NFL playoffs on the Ravens' 53-man roster, but the fullback was waived on Jan. 14, only a few days before Baltimore lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the divisional playoffs.

Prior to signing with the Ravens, McKie spent the 2010 offseason and portions of training camp with the New Orleans Saints.

McKie played seven seasons for the Bears (2003-09) and helped pave the way for a pair of 1,000 yard rushers in Thomas Jones and Matt Forte. He caught a career-high 25 passes in 2006.
