Bears rest Barber, Briggs, other vets

August, 30, 2011
LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chester Taylor returned to practice Tuesday, but the Bears continued to hold out all of their banged up veterans.

Marion Barber (calf), Anthony Adams (calf), Lance Briggs (knee), Kellen Davis (back), Corey Wootton (knee), Sam Hurd (ankle) and Desmond Clark (knee) all sat out practice and are doubtful for the Bears preseason finale Thursday night versus the Cleveland Browns at Soldier Field.

Clark was spotted moving around the facility Tuesday without a knee brace. A remarkable development considering he was carted off the field last weekend after absorbing a vicious and low blow by a Titans defender.
