DETROIT -- Former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Max Komar is expected to sign a contract with the Chicago Bears, according to the player's Twitter account.

"Signing with them," Komar tweeted. "Moving to Chicago tomorrow ... hyped about that."

A league source confirmed that Bears general manager Jerry Angelo has been interested in adding Komar to the Bears mix ever since the receiver was placed on injured reserve by Arizona after suffering a knee injury in the preseason. He was released by the Cardinals last week.

Komar is still practice squad eligible, despite playing in eight games for the Cardinals last year and catching 12 passes for 117 yards. He was college teammates at Idaho with Bears third-string quarterback Nate Enderle.
