LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Had the Chicago Bears practiced Monday following a 41-21 victory Sunday over the Indianapolis Colts, coach Lovie Smith said the club would have held out cornerback Charles Tillman, linebacker Brian Urlacher and tight end Kyle Adams, while working offensive tackle J'Marcus Webb in a limited capacity.

With the Bears preparing to face the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Smith revealed the club's injury list but said that overall "we didn't have a lot of injuries" coming out of the win over the Colts.


The club pulled Tillman out of Sunday's game early and replaced him with Kelvin Hayden, and Smith made the decision to pull out Urlacher in the third quarter as a precautionary measure as the linebacker works to get back into playing shape after missing time recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery.

"Charles Tillman -- as you know didn't finish the game -- has a lower leg injury; took a shot on the leg," Smith said. "We're hoping he'll be O.K. If we were practicing today, we would hold him out this quick after the game yesterday. Brian Urlacher, (we) took him out of the game, but was pleased with how he played first time out. We would hold him out today just based on a coach's decision to do that."

Adams and Webb, meanwhile, suffered shoulder and thumb injuries against the Colts. Smith said Adams "wouldn't be able to practice" on Monday if the club had worked and indicated that Webb's thumb injury isn't serious.

"We're in pretty good shape (injury wise)," said Smith.

The Bears return to the practice field on Tuesday and although Smith didn't give an indication on for Urlacher, Adams and Webb, he cited his glass-half-full viewpoint in saying he expected Tillman to practice when the team returns to action.

"We need to get Peanut back out there," Smith said.
