Bears rest Urlacher, Peppers in practice

October, 4, 2012
LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Chicago Bears rested defensive stars Brian Urlacher (coach's decision) and Julius Peppers (ankle) on Thursday as the team worked out in full pads in advance of Sunday's road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fullback Evan Rodriguez also remained sidelined with a knee injury that kept him out of last week's win over Dallas.

Running back Matt Forte (ankle) and wide receiver Earl Bennett (hand) were both limited in practice, but Forte is expected to start against the Jaguars.

"I'm good," Forte said walking off the field.

Forte participated in 30 plays and carried the ball 13 times for 52 yards in the Bears' victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Monday.

Bennett's status for Sunday remains unclear after he was inactive last game with a left hand injury he suffered a couple of weeks ago in practice. Dane Sanzenbacher replaced Bennett on the game day roster in Dallas and played 17 snaps, a scenario that could repeat itself on Sunday.
