LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Aside from receiver Alshon Jeffery (hand), the Chicago Bears appear to be a fully healthy team headed into their clash against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.
Returning for their second practice after a week of inactivity, the Bears saw nearly full participation during Wednesday's session aside from Jeffery, who is expected to miss multiple games, linebacker Blake Costanzo (thumb), who is expected to play against the Lions, and cornerback Sherrick McManis.
The team isn't required until Thursday to put out an official injury report.
"We had a few other guys that had some bumps and bruises," Bears coach Lovie Smith said. "That's why you do want to get the bye week to be able to (heal); and having this extra day also has to help. There are no issues with any of our players as far as I'm concerned that had things like that. They should be good to go."
Fullback Evan Rodriguez returned to the practice field on Monday along with receiver Earl Bennett and both participated during Wednesday's session
Bennett practiced during the week leading into Chicago's 41-3 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 7, and expected to play in that contest but was declared inactive. Bennett is expected to fill the void at receiver left by the injury to Jeffery against the Lions.
Linebacker Brian Urlacher, who has taken off at least one day during the week of practice so far this season, also participated in Wednesday's workout.
