NASHVILLE -- The Chicago Bears released their inactives for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans at LP Field with defensive tackle Amobi Okoye making the list for the second consecutive week, along with rookie receiver Alshon Jeffery who will miss his third straight game with a broken hand.
Declared out earlier in the week, Jeffery is the club’s lone major contributor to make the list of inactives, which also includes receiver Dane Sanzenbacher, offensive lineman Edwin Williams, defensive tackle Matt Toeaina, tight end Brody Eldridge and defensive end Cheta Ozougwu.
Okoye’s inactivity comes as the result of a strong Chicago Bears debut from Nate Collins, who posted five tackles last week against the Carolina Panthers in addition to four quarterback pressures. Collins drew praise from Bears coach Lovie Smith earlier in the week, and the defensive staff wants to see more from the defensive tackle.
Toeina, meanwhile, makes the list of inactives for the sixth time in seven games after starting the opener against the Indianapolis Colts.
Inactives for the Titans include quarterback Jake Locker, linebacker Patrick Bailey, guard/center Leroy Harris, offensive tackle Byron Stingily, receiver Lavelle Hawkins, linebacker Will Witherspoon, and defensive tackle DaJohn Harris.
