CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears released their list of inactives in advance of Sunday’s season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, with no surprises.

The list of inactives includes receiver Marquess Wilson, cornerback C.J. Wilson, running back Michael Ford, offensive tackle James Brown, tight end Dante Rosario, defensive end David Bass and defensive tackle Zach Minter.

While there were no surprises on the list, Wilson and Ford showed enough during the preseason to build up some anticipation regarding their respective NFL debuts. Wilson likely didn’t make the active list because of his inability to contribute on special teams. Ford can contribute on special teams, but he likely wasn’t needed with the Bears already set at the position with Matt Forte and Michael Bush.

It’s unlikely the Bears will get down to their third running back, and if that did happen, it’s likely the club would just go heavy on receivers, considering it activated five for the matchup against the Bengals.

Cincinnati’s inactives included receivers Dane Sanzenbacher and Ryan Whalen, cornerback Brandon Ghee, running back Rex Burkhead, guard Mike Pollak, offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth and defensive end Margus Hunt.

Anthony Collins will start in Whitworth’s place for the Bengals at left tackle.
