GREEN BAY, Wisc. -- It was just like old times for Rashied Davis.
|Rashied Davis had seven catches in a losing effort for the Bears.|
With Earl Bennett inactive because of an ankle injury, Davis filled the Bears void in the slot, and caught seven balls for 63 yards.
Davis, typically a standout on special teams, was targeted a team-high 10 times by Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.
"It was great to be able to go out there and get a lot of balls thrown my way," Davis said. "To get my feet wet is good going into the playoffs. It's not like I lack confidence, but it'd been awhile, so it's nice to get used to being hit again. I'm used to hitting people now because I play special teams, so I haven't been hit in quite some time. It was good to get hit, get up, hold on the ball, and know I can hold onto the ball."
While Davis was productive against the Packers, Johnny Knox was not. Needing only 40 receiving yards to eclipse 1,000 for the year, Knox was held without a catch, despite being targeted 8 times.
