Wake-up call: Practice No. 9
By Jeff Dickerson
Every day of Chicago Bears training camp, we'll have a wake-up call that previews the day ahead.
3 p.m. CT -- Bears practice with full pads at Olivet Nazarene University.
Approx. 5 p.m. CT -- Marc Trestman, defensive and special teams coaches, and select players will be available to the media coming off the practice field.
The Bears return to the practice field at 3 p.m. today following another league required off-day on Sunday. The team is scheduled to hold three open practices at ONU before the Bears kick off their preseason schedule Friday at Soldier Field against the Philadelphia Eagles. I’ll be broadcasting live on ESPN Radio 1000 with Jonathan Hood from 6 to 8 p.m. from Brickstone Brewery at 557 William R Latham Senior Dr. in Bourbonnais.
- Among the storylines we’ll be following:
- Reaction to the first official preseason depth chart.
- The progress of injured safeties Chris Conte and Craig Steltz.
- Expected snap count for the first team Friday against Philadelphia.
