Let's make our weekly comparison between the Total Quarterback Rating (QBR) and passer rating of each NFC North quarterback. In some cases, it can give us a deeper insight into how each quarterback performed. At the bottom of this post is a cumulative comparison of each metric.

Aaron Rodgers
Week 7 passer rating:
146.5
NFL rank: 2
Week 7 QBR: 90.8
NFL rank: 3
Comment: Rodgers had a great game and was rated as such. He finished below New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and the Houston Texans' Matt Schaub primarily because he took four sacks.

Matthew Stafford
Week 7 passer rating:
75.4
NFL rank: 14
Week 7 QBR: 18.6
NFL rank: 21
Comment: QBR didn't like Stafford's performance Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. He took his share of the blame for three sacks, failed conversions on 11 of 12 third-down opportunities and no red zone touchdowns in two chances.

Jay Cutler
Week 7 passer rating:
60.2
NFL rank: 17
Week 7 QBR: 56.2
NFL rank: 9
Comment: I'm not sure if there was much to like about Cutler's shaky performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But QBR hated it less than passer rating.

Christian Ponder
Week 7 passer rating:
59.2
NFL rank: 18
Week 7 QBR: 51.1
NFL rank: 10
Comment: QBR gave Ponder some credit for his 31 rushing yards.
