SUNRISE, Fla. -- The Chicago Blackhawks trail the Florida Panthers 3-2 after two periods at Bank Atlantic Center.

The Hawks played better in the second period than they did the first. After missing on some prime scoring chances early, they finally tallied twice in the span of 2:45 to get back in the game.

Brian Campbell found Patrick Kane, after taking the puck around the net, for the Hawks' first goal midway through the period. Then Marian Hossa finished a nice sequence in which Bryan Bickell touched the puck to Dave Bolland near a corner in the offensive zone. He found Hossa moving towards the net for his 19th of the season.

The Hawks failed on some other chances but clearly grabbed the momentum in the game. They have 25 shots on net to the Panthers’ 12. Florida had four shots on net in the second period while scoring all three of its goals back in the first.
