Blackhawks sign Segal to 1-year deal

The Chicago Blackhawks signed forward Brandon Segal to a one year contract, the team announced on Thursday.

Segal, 28, played last season for the Dallas Stars registering five goals and five assists in 46 games. He spent time in the AHL with the Texas Stars as well.

He has 11 goals and 11 assists in 92 regular season NHL games after being drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2002. He’s played for four NHL teams in his career.
