CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks lead the Boston Bruins 2-1 after two periods at the United Center.

The teams exchanged goals 1:18 apart early in the second as the Hawks responded quickly after the Bruins scored a shorthanded goal to tie the game at 1-1.

Patrick Kane finally got one past Tim Thomas after several good chances throughout the first period. Kane has a point in every game this season and has once again been impressive playing center.

The first 40 minutes have produced a good pace to the game and numerous scoring chances for both sides. Bryan Bickell has the other Hawks goal on a steal and mini-break away in the opening period.
