The Chicago Blackhawks recalled forward Jeremy Morin before Sunday’s game against the Calgary Flames. Morin is in Sunday's lineup.
"We see him as a player that has a good future with us," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "I think he's played well down in the minors this year. He's got some upside offensively, some strength in the puck area, good instincts, good shot. I think defensively he's fine too."
Morin, 20, has five goals and 10 assists in 22 contests with the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs this season.
Morin's return from the minors comes after a 10-month recovery from a concussion he suffered in January.
"I was just excited being back in the swing of things and finally playing every night and every weekend, Morin said. "I know I had to prove I could play again before I could get the chance [with the Hawks].
"Anytime you come up here, you want to just play your hardest and prove you can play at this level. That's what I'm going to try and do."
