CALGARY, Alberta -- The Chicago Blackhawks and Calgary Flames were tied 1-1 after the first period at the Saddledome on Friday night.

The Flames scored first, but the Hawks responded with a Brent Seabrook goal with 28 seconds remaining in the opening 20 minutes. Patrick Kane grabbed a puck along the boards in the offensive zone and found Seabrook pinching from the point for an open-side score. It was Seabrook’s fourth goal of the year.

Earlier, Olli Jokinen blasted one by Ray Emery to get the Flames on the board. The puck went in and out so fast one referee called it no goal as Jokinen celebrated on the ice. Quickly the refs huddled and a short review produced a good goal.

The Hawks outshot the Flames 13-6.
