CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers are tied 1-1 after two periods at the United Center.

The Hawks tied the game in the middle 20 minutes when Andrew Shaw tipped in a Johnny Oduya shot for his seventh goal of the year. The Hawks were buzzing around the Rangers’ net for much of the second period and were finally rewarded.

New York had a power play chance in the period but the Hawks killed it off before tying the game. Artem Anisimov scored the New York goal back in the first period after a Hawks’ turnover. The Hawks had their first power play of the game late in the period but did no damage with it.

Brandon Bollig and Mike Rupp dropped the gloves midway through the game with Rupp getting the late decision.
