CHICAGO -- The Chicago Blackhawks continue to lead the Phoenix Coyotes 1-0 at the United Center in Game 3 of their playoff series on Tuesday night.

There was no scoring in the second period as the teams played an even 20 minutes. The Hawks had a couple of power-play chances, but couldn’t covert. Phoenix had fewer scoring chances than they did in the first period as the Hawks played more in the offensive zone than they did earlier in the game.

Andrew Brunette has the lone goal for Chicago, coming back in the first period on a redirection of a Patrick Kane shot.

Marian Hossa was taken to an area hospital after getting hit in the head by Raffi Torres. No update on his condition has been given and Torres wasn’t penalized on the play. Tempers flared at the end of the second period with goalies Corey Crawford and Mike Smith even exchanging words.
